Bio

(For my researcher profile, please visit here)

I am a Bolivian and naturalized-Italian researcher and photographer. I combine my research on socio-economic issues in low- and middle-income countries with photographic storytelling. In my pictures, I narrate fantastic and at times challenging stories with dignity and accuracy, moving beyond the stereotypical images of the Global South. I like to think that my work is a mix between Bolivian melancholy, Italian renaissance and Ugandan colors.

I am a strong supporter of increasing ethics in photography and in research; thus, I provide full information to the people I photograph, asking for verbal or written consent, as well as involving them in narrating the story (ethics statemenet thread).
